The Family Mediation Brighton Process
The Family Mediation Brighton process begins with a referral to the mediation service. Once the referral is received, the mediator will contact both parties to explain the process and arrange a suitable time and location for the mediation session. Mediation sessions usually last between one and two hours, and both parties must attend.
During the mediation sessions, the mediator will facilitate the discussion and help both parties to communicate effectively. The mediator will ensure that both parties have an opportunity to express their views and feelings, and will work towards finding a resolution that is agreeable to both parties. If an agreement is reached, the mediator will draft an agreement that both parties will sign.
